Plantation Ladies Association is a non-profit organization that began more than 40 years ago to bring women who live on Amelia Island Plantation together. Membership in Plantation Ladies is fun, interesting and rewarding!
We are a welcoming group of women from various backgrounds and areas of the country who have moved here for the relaxed, yet stimulating life offered by Amelia Island Plantation and the greater Jacksonville area. It is an active group of women who enjoy getting to know their neighbors and socializing with them in a beautiful setting,
learning more about Amelia Island and surrounding Northeast Florida and the natural and cultural resources that abound, and becoming aware of needs in the community and contributing to area charities and civic projects.
We meet four times a year in October, December, March and May. Meetings feature guest speakers from local charities who provide insightful and inspiring information along with special guests who provide entertainment for members and their guests.
Interest groups offer additional activities and are open to all PLA members:
Additional activities may be offered depending on members’ interests. Day trips or special shopping events may also be added to the annual calendar.
Women who are residents of Amelia Island Plantation and associated properties and/or who are members of The Amelia Island Club are welcome to join at any time during the year.
